PLYC’s WASH initiatives aim to improve sanitation and access to clean water in underserved communities. These efforts include school hygiene programs, community awareness campaigns, and emergency relief during disasters like the 2022 floods.

Under the “Hygiene & Behavior Change Communication” project, 1,139 teachers were trained, and 50 hygiene promotion clubs were established. During the floods, PLYC supported over 2,000 families by distributing hygiene kits and installing handwashing stations in 100 schools.

The program also promoted behavior change through community mobilization, emphasizing the importance of handwashing and safe water practices. By collaborating with Save the Children and USAID, the project created long-term impacts on health and hygiene in vulnerable areas.
