On March 24, 2023, Pakistan Lions Youth Council (PLYC) organized a significant event to commemorate World TB Day at the Governor House, Punjab. This event aimed at honoring TB warriors who contributed to controlling tuberculosis in Pakistan. Prominent officials, including the Governor of Punjab, attended the ceremony. They highlighted the latest data, showing 5,584 TB cases diagnosed and 1,715 bacteriologically confirmed cases, with 895 cases successfully treated.

Healthcare professionals shared strategies for combating TB and emphasized the importance of prevention, early diagnosis, and timely treatment. Shields were awarded to healthcare professionals and community workers for their dedicated services. The event concluded with a call to action, aligning with Pakistan’s national target to eliminate TB by 2035.
