Child Labor Elimination Programs

Summary:
PLYC implemented comprehensive programs to eliminate child labor, particularly in hazardous sectors such as brick kilns and scavenging. This project identified 1,175 children engaged in labor and transitioned them into schools with monthly stipends of PKR 2,000.

In collaboration with the Labour Department and ILO, PLYC conducted community awareness campaigns highlighting the importance of education and labor rights. The initiative provided uniforms, books, and training opportunities, encouraging school retention and reducing the incidence of child labor.
