Human Rights and Gender Equity

Summary:
PLYC’s human rights initiatives empower women and marginalized communities by addressing issues such as gender equity, violence prevention, and governance. The project trained 1,140 female councilors and 120 trainers on women’s rights, leadership, and governance.

Workshops on domestic violence engaged over 500 participants, raising awareness about women’s legal rights and self-determination. PLYC also formed networks of NGOs and community organizations to promote good governance and strengthen advocacy for gender equality.
